Running coupling constant from lattice data and bulk viscosity of strange quark matter

چکیده
We study the bulk viscosity of strange quark matter (SQM) in a quasiparticle model at finite chemical potential by extrapolating the previous quasiparticle model of finite temperature lattice QCD. The more proper bulk viscosity coefficient can be given in this model where chemical potential μ and coupling constant g are interdependent. We also apply our result to determine the critical rotation of strange stars by r-mode instability window. Our model is compatible to the millisecond pulsar data for a wide range of mass and radius of the stars. PACS numbers: 97.60.Jd, 12.38.Mh, 97.60.Gb

The quarks are regarded as quasiparticles, which acquire an effective mass generated by the interaction with the other quarks of the dense system. The bulk viscosity is re-expressed in the case of interacting strange quark matter. We find that the viscosity is a few∼tens times larger than that of non-interacting quark gas due to the small correction of medium effect to the equation of state. Th...

In this paper, we have considered that the strange-star consists of quark matter from its center to surface. For quark matter, we have used two models, the MIT bag model and string-flip like model. In the bag model, the energy of the system has been considered the kinetic energy of the particles of system in addition to a constant B. We have considered two states for B, one of them is constant...
متن کاملBulk viscosity of strange quark matter in density-dependent quark mass model and dissipation of r-modes in strange stars
We study the bulk viscosity of strange quark matter(SQM) in density dependent quark mass model(DDQM) under the background of selfconsistent thermodynamics. The correct formulae, with which the viscosity can be evaluated, are derived. We also find that the viscosity in DDQM can be higher by 2 to 3 orders of magnitude than MIT bag model. We calculate the damping time scales due to viscosity coupl...

The bulk viscosity of three-flavor color-superconducting quark matter originating from the nonleptonic process u+ s ↔ u+ d is computed. It is assumed that up and down quarks form Cooper pairs while the strange quark remains unpaired (2SC phase). A general derivation of the rate of strangeness production is presented, involving contributions from a multitude of different subprocesses, including ...
متن کاملElectric Character of Strange Stars
Using the Thomas-Fermi model, we investigated the electric characteristics of a static non-magnetized strange star without crust in this paper. The exact solutions of electron number density and electric field above the quark surface are obtained. These results are useful if we are concerned about physical processes near the quark matter surfaces of strange stars. PACS: 97.60.Gb, 97.60.Jd, 97.6...
